League Rules
Rules,
Bardwell Darts LEague. Rules
Teams can be made up of five people, one player can play twice in the singles and a different player in the doubles. (You could play with four every now and then, keeps games going in pubs.
To keep the games flowing in the fixtures, You can travel with four players If you choose to use four then you concede one singles and the doubles match to the other team, if the opposing captain agrees to you using four players instead of five and all the games results count ie singles and doubles then that’s fine.
You cannot use the five player rule if you have six or more players, in example to play your best player twice! It’s not fair on your team to have people sit out a singles game just to play a better player.
Only the first singles game you play on the night counts for the singles stats
Players to be drawn out before the game
Please arrive at your venues for 8pm. If you arrive earlier and everyone agrees there’s no reason you cannot do draw earlier.
Games are all 501, best of three. and the away team to start the first game and all the odd games there after.
Please go for the Bullseye to decide who starts the final leg if it goes 1-1.
Games will be three singles, followed by three pairs, then three singles.
Games are Straight in.
Players can choose to change teams after one or maybe two games if for any reason they wish to. Please do the right thing and tell your team if you are unhappy or the reason and want to make a change.
Scoring.
Must be either a chalk board/white board or an electronic scorer, scores must be seen clearly, absolutely no iPads or phones with tiny little numbers that only you can see through a telescope!! .
No automatic scoring working on their own such as omnis etc.
By all means they can be used but there must be a way of scoring and checking like normal after each throw, as they just cause problems when Wi-Fi goes off or they play up. (It’ll just cause wars!).
I.e let the omni say 45 or in my case 26 scored and then you check the score and write it down on a chalk board or white board after, so if the dam thing goes wrong you’ve got a back up
The chalkers decision is final, don’t be ripping them darts out in a hurry and just say I got a 100 and it was only a 45!
All problems to be dealt with by the captains on the night. Please don’t try and resolve a problem two days later when nothing can be done. Please do message or ring me on the night.
This is and has been a really fun league, let’s keep it like it and just enjoy our darts and many a pint together, It’s important to shake hands before and wish the opposing player the best of luck, and after the game congratulating, or in my case say unlucky mate well played you tried your hardest ?? !
